Bailey's Irish Cream

I wonder if anyone has made a stab at duplicating (or simulating) Bailey's Irish Cream ? With desert, as desert, before desert, or after desert it's one of my favorite drinks. Any thoughts, recipes, advice or guidance is appreciated.

It is made from whisky, not wine. I think you can search out some recipes for it.

Thanks Russ. Your's was the second recipe I received and compares quite closely with the first. I was advised against the almond extract, but otherwise the recipes are comparable. Can't wait to try it !

Since this recipe has cream in it is there a shelf life or does the whiskey preserve the cream? I tried it without the almond extract and it tastes great but was not sure how long it could keep.

I've heard only a week or two, even in the refrigerator? It must last longer than that.. but anyways, not long, is what I hear. What the heck do these guys put in it to keep it from going bad?
