Bardolino?

Greetings,

I am new to the newsgroup, and to winemaking. I am a former homebrewer - had to give that up when I was diagnosed with type II diabetes a couple of years ago. And I am getting the bug to make my own potables once again.

I spend several years stationed in the Lombardy region of Italy, and fell in love with Italian wines and cuisine. Of the many varieties - we are particularly fond of Bardolino. Is it possible to duplicate it at home? Are there any kits available? Recipes?

I live in Southern Maryland - can anyone here suggest a source nearby for winemaking supplies??

Ciao!

. In the disussion forum, there is a Maryland section. Not sure if it is active though.

Spagnols has a Bardolino kit in their Grand Cru line (4-week 10 litres). It should be pretty good, and a good choice for a first kit.

May be some others, but thats the only one I'm aware of.
