Filtering wine

I decided to try my beer filtering equipment on my wine last night. I had a BrewKing Symphony kit and 2 gallons of blueberry wine that I bottled last night with it.

I used a corney keg, 1 micron sediment filter ( photo here

), and a bottle filler tube.

I first racked the wine into a keg. Hooked up the filter to the "OUT" side of the keg and the bottle filler tube to the other side of the filter. I turned on the gas and it pushed the wine through the filter and the bottles filled up real nicely. I made sure to use as little pressure so I would not carbonate the wine.

The filter cartriges cost me $1.32 each. I can get them in 1 or 5 micron, I haven't found them in .5 micron yet.
