I had a batch of mead that I filtered first and then I added my sulphite and sorbate, then I sweetened to taste. The problem is, I think the sorbate left behind little particles. There weren't a lot, but enough that it was very noticeable for a filtered product. I did everything in this order because I had a wine kit that had the same order of filtering and then sweetening.
The question you can guess is can I do the filtering of wine, mead or whatever at the last step? Will this cause problems with the sorbate and sulphite? If I do this and it is ok can I do everything in the same day or should I sweeten, add the sorbate and sulphite wait a few days and then filter?
I am using the Buon Vino Mini Jet and it works pretty well. Thanks, Dave.
