For the first time, I have a really vigorous MLF going. It's probably due to the Leucofood that I added and the 72 degree temperature, but this is the first time that I have a persistent 1/4 inch ring of tiny bubbles around the neck of the carboy. My question is this: in the past, with a weak MLF, I've seen it take as long as a month or 6 weeks to complete. But with a vigorous MLF, how quickly might this all be completed?
I plan on conducting either a chromatography strip or other means to measure residual malic acid, but 1 week? 2?
