is it MLF ?

I have a wine xpert kit (mezza luna white) going. After racking into a 6 gal carboy the first time, I noticed micro fine bubbles rising off the bottom, and clustering on top of the wine.I decided to modify the directions slightly by skipping the clarifying and sorbate, and it is clearing nicely on it's own. It smells great, and initially tasted tart, but letting it breath seems to take that away.So..is this MLF ,or entrapped CO2 ? Is there anything I need to do other than sit back and wait for the bubbling to stop ?

Well, I'd get a good Cabernet and look forward to drinking my own when all's done.

Treetoad - If you skipped the "vigorous stirring" portion of the clarifying steps, I think you're looking at residual CO2, rather than MLF. It's not that likely to have MLF in a kit wine (luckily, as you don't want it). So I think the simpler answer is much the more likely - it's just CO2 left in the wine from the initial fermentation. You can leave it for several months and it will probably come out on its own (if the temp. is 70F or better), or you can speed up the process a bit by the "stirring" step.
