And I am about 60 miles North West of Frederick in the Cumberland Valley. Elderberry are very common in this area. Bad time to go hunting for it though. The berries are already green and you have to practically stumble on it to find it. In June when the large heads are full of white flowers that it pushes up to the outside of the bush, the plants can be easily located up to a quarter of a mile away using field glasses. HTH
