Re: Wanted to buy 1 gallon glass bottles in bulk new or used any info appreciated tia

Check your local 'packaging' companies. Let your fingers do some walking and start dialing a few phone numbers. Some deal in only boxes, others deal in bottles, canisters, plastic containers of all types. Joanne

This is good info.I have made quit a few phone calls with no luck. The cheapst in my area is $5 a bottle. I would like to buy for less than $1.50 and than ship them myself. The cheapest I found was $1.73. I would like to buy direct and eliminate him but I don't know his source.TIA

This is the first result from google for "glass bottle supply".

Your at $2.36 a bottle. That doesn't help me. I know he's at $1.73 a bottle and he's complaining. The shipping is killing him. At your price it brings me to $5.00 a bottle too.Where's the profit. People in my area are dying to get there hands on bottles but there are NONE to be had. He (local winery) won't buy them.He only supplies metric bottles. That's not what we want.We want US gallons. How about a quote from you and not W.C.Fields!

Sorry to hear that. It's certainly not *my* prices that are at fault. I don't have a bottle supply company or anything of the sort. It's not going to be a productive search if you have such a bad attitude about it.

I'm sorry if I came across the wrong way.I reread it and it could be taken the wrong way.I had a smile on my face when I wrote the end.Your prices would be great if I wasn't so far away. But the shipping would run me as much as the bottles.I guess that's why there's not any bottles in our area.No one will pay $5 a bottle. Thanks for your time and I wish you and your family a special Thanksgiving!

But if it be thought that, either now, or at any future time, the citizens of the United States may be induced to undertake a thorough reformation of their whole system of measures, weights and coins, reducing every branch to the same decimal ratio already established in their coins, and thus bringing the calculation of the principal affairs of life within the arithmetic of every man who can multiply and divide plain numbers, greater changes will be necessary. Perhaps he should find a beach, gather up some sand, melt it, and blow his own one-gallon (not 4-litre, God forbid!) bottles.

I'd just like to clarify that I am not selling bottles of any sorts. Please don't refer to them as "my prices" since they aren't! Besides that, where are you? I'm sure there has to be some appropriately sized bottles available in your area, unless you're in Greenland.

Maybe you can go pound sand and make me gallon jugs! Get a life! If people want to buy gallon jugs and not 4 liters it's up to them not me to decide.I just want to get the bottles and make a few bucks. I know for a fact gallon jugs sell way better that the 4 liter bottles. And thanks for that intelligent response you must have stayed up all night thinking of it. I'm just surprised of the fact that you can read and write. That a boy! Would you like to try again????
