So you are into wine are you? I really love wine too. After I have had enough I tend to sprinkle it all over my never regions and let the wife enjoy a bit of vintage. So how often do you meet? Hi Barrie, I am in the UK in Birmingham. I believe there is a local winemaking group, but I thought I'd get myself a couple or three years experience in before making myself known to them. I wonder if you will still be watching this thread nearly 4 years after you started it?
As for you Trevor, if you added enough yeast to your must in the first place, I doubt you'd have to carry out your nefarious practices in order to finish fermentation. I appreciate that alcohol can be a useful sanitising agent and perhaps you need pickling agents to keep things straight, never mind.
