Does stabalising stop fermentation?

I have done a couple of kits that said to add stabiliser once the bubbling was less than once a minute and the SG was low enough. I did this and the bubbling stopped altogether but on reading some posts I am concerned that it might not stop fermentation. Is this right?

It wont stop fermentation, it will prevent new fermentation. The current living yeast will continue to grow until all the sugar gone and they die but no new yeast will grow after all living yeast are dead..

If there is any bubbling ever, I wait. Waiting is one thing you will probably never regret.
