Wine From Peach Juice

I made some peach wine last summer using a recipe from the Jack Keller site. It used halved peaches and white grape juice concentrate. For my first attempt at wine making, it came out pretty good IMHO. I only wish it had more of a peach flavor. The grape flavor was more noticeable. I have two peach trees in my yard and this gives me lots of peaches to experiment with.

Anyway, does anyone have or know where to obtain a recipe for peach wine using peach juice only? I was thinking of obtaining a fruit press to extract the juice from peaches. Or, I have a juicer I use for making fruit drinks (or veggies as well). I can see using the left over pulp in the primary fermenter, but I would like to use juice to give it more flavor.

I believe it is a common misconception that the wine which is made from a particular fruit will taste like the "raw" fresh fruit when eaten. Your wine will certainly be a "peach wine" but will not taste like fresh peaches but will be an excellent wine nevertheless. I make it every other year ( or Apricot wine which I actually prefer). When I make peach wine I peel half of the peaches but leave the skin on the other half. This gives the wine a bit more astringency -- a bit more bite!( I remove the stones of course)

If you can get either of C.J.J.Berry's books, they have a recipe for Peach Perfection. Very unique. His books are well worth having. I love both of them for their variety of recipes.
