Lenten tea

I'm planning to give up any unopened tea for Lent. This will leave me with the teas I have- Four blacks, three greens, one each TGY, Puer, and melange. Do you think I'll get through Lent? Toci

I'm not of the religion so I have no idea how long this is for, but I it seems like an easy out :) I'm going to give up unopened tea that I don't own ;) So, if you win do you get like the VIP treatment upstairs? If you fail do you go directly to hell and not collect $200? Inquiring minds want to know.

Funny, true story: When I was in college (one semester at a private Catholic university taking some general credits) I went to lunch in the cafeteria one Friday and the usual sandwich cart where you could make your own sandwiches was covered with a tarp. Nothing on the line seemed good so I peeked under the tarp and the meats were there, fancying myself a master McGyver cafeteria creator, I grabbed some roast beef, a slice of bread, and made an open faced sammich and tossed it in the microwave. I sat down smiling with happiness at my creation to a hot meal at a table near one full of nuns and got some of the dirtiest looks I've ever seen in my life. I had no idea until later that night when I suggested going out for hamburgers and someone informed me that it was Good Friday. Doh!

Overkill. All you need for fish are the greens.

I think that's about 160 cups of tea, and I drink definitely less than a liter a day. Toci

Sorry, I took Lewis's comment as a "Dune" reference.

Very well. I didn't read the book, Dune, and it's the only movie I ever walked out on. Immediate, unrelenting, unexplained, and boring violence. Melange is French for things all messed up together? Toci

Read the book. It's not the kind of book that would make a good movie. The fact that they keep trying over and over again to make movies from it and failing is a sign of that. I recommend the book.

That book took over my life for a week when I had strong reasons for doing something else. "Gripping" would be an understatement.
