[]) A Lovely Cool Saturday

Greetings Gents:

Thanks to Hurricane Charley's evaporative cooling effects, we are enjoying a beautiful cool day here in the southland. I plan on putting on some sweats and settling into a nice Guinness Extra Stout...on the patio of course.

Have a wonderful day! ^_^

Well...I nixed the Guinness and went for a pint of Tucher Dunkels Hefe Weizen and a 6er of Mc Ewans IPA. The Tucher was delightfully strange. The Mc Ewans IPA was disappointing until I let it come to room temp. Cooled, it had no flavor what so ever...

BTW- There is supposed to be a new brewery opening "downtown," but we won't be able to drink in it. We were told we'd have to go across the street to the steak house and by a bottle...Damn you Alabama liquor laws!

Well, that's one that's not unique to Alabama (or other less "enlightened" jurisdictions)- many states have laws that prevent breweries from selling direct to the public; that's often one of the legal differences between "breweries" and "brewpubs".
