ASAR-Round 6- Bulldogs

4 weeks of resisting temptation, showing immense willpower to end my lifetime filthy habit of nail biting went down the gurgler in the last 20 minutes of Foxtel viewing on Saturday. With the Bulldogs finally winning a close game, it was a small sacrifice in the total scheme of things.

  1. Scott West Nearly 40 touches..... BOG by a street.

  1. Luke Darcy Not a great 'stats' game, but what he did was sensational, amd inspirational.
  2. Mitch Hahn Stood up when needed, despite a dicky shoulder.

SpecialMentions. Either Giansiracusa or Gilbee could have stolen the single vote, as all three (incl Hahn) really only dominated for a half. Gilbee's 1st half was a ripper (when many others struggled), and Guido's second half was what we expect from him, but I gave Mitch the nod as he was in pain when he launched his inspirational 2nd half, and he was not totally out of the game in the 1st half.

I have been raving about Cam Faulkner since last year, and finally given a run, showed enough to see why the Crows lauded him on draft day (and were openly disappointed when they missed him). Ironically, I had said to SWMBO the night before the match, if the young goalsneak can kick a few early ones, he may help solving the kicking yips. His first 2 kicks were goals... we kicked straight...we won the game.

Looking forward to a good match with the Bombers, and we do have a decent track record of matching up with the Bombers, so dismiss the Bulldogs at your own risk.
