On tap: Beer and wine at Taste of Cincinnati

With longer hours and more food choices this year, it's no surprise that organizers have also expanded the beer and wine lineup at this year's Taste of Cincinnati.

More than 50 types of beer, including offerings from both craft and large producers, plus more than 20 wines and other drinks will be offered.

On the beer front, Christian Moerlein returns as a presenting sponsor.

"That means you can expect a very strong presence for them, including tappings of beers that have never been tried before, and won't ever again after Taste," said Lance Barry, public relations manager for Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.

Those specialty beers, which will be available on Fountain Square throughout the weekend, are:

• Chili Zeppelin

• Strawberry Pig

• Repeater Pale Ale

• Dunkel Weizen

• Coffee Bock

• Oaked OTR

Two additional Moerlein brews will only be available at select times.

• Scottish Ale with Spruce Tips (4 p.m. Saturday)

• Double Dry Hopped Northern Liberties (4 p.m. Sunday)

New to the event's craft beer list this year is Lexington-based West Sixth Brewing.
