It definately has a warming quality and a great soft mouthfeel. Its not your everyday normal type of beer but neither are WWS or the 90 min IPA. I could drink a whole lot of the the 60 min IPA however.

It cloys! It cloys! Just too much of a strange raisiny sweet aftertaste for me, and I've given it a bunch of tries. The fruity DFH brews just don't work for me (Midas excluded). Now, Raison D'Extra...

Stuff and nonsense. You need to clear your throat before you drink it!

Erk. First time I had that it tasted like fusely booze, and it has only improved somewhat. Raison d'Etre is a beautiful beer. IMO, natch.

Our widely divergent opinions on DFH fruity brews must result from the poor quality of the Chicago water used to dilute the concentrated brew after its long journey on schooners across the great inland sea. If I ever make the Hajj to Rehoboth, I'll test the theory firsthand.
