I'm not too big on the Canadian macro lager, or American macro lager for that matter...

Old Speckled Hen I've gotten is in clear bottles and usually skunked so badly that it's near undrinkable. I'll reserve judgement until I find it on tap.

I think I'd rather have a Rogue Shakespeare Stout,Stone Smoked Porter or Youngs Oatmeal Stout before a Guinness, but in a pinch it'll do.

You should try some craft lagers sometime. There is a small (tiny) brewery in Divide Colorado called Only The Best that makes some awe inspiring lagers. Also Victory Brewing makes a decent pils called Prima Pils (not quite as hoppy as the Only The Best but still pretty good) and New Belgium makes one called Blue Paddle Pilsner and it's also good.

Actually, 10 gallons of the best "craft" lager is lagering in my basement right now...

Actually, I'm going to be in Colorado around November, so thanks for the tip.
