Why so much head(foam)??

Normally I wouldn't complain about that subject, but here it is. I recently purchased a kegerator. My first keg is Bud Light, I know, get some real beer, but it's cheap. I have my co2 output at around 12 psi & I have to pour 2 glasses to get 1 decent glass of beer. The first one being almost entirely foam. Generally about 30 minutes time elapses between beers. Am I doing something wrong here? Thanks.

Robert

On the bright side, I'll empty the bud light quicker & get a decent beer sooner!!

Lol, it WAS CHEAP!!!! As far as the pressure, I was just going by the instructions for the kegerator, it said between 10 & 12 psi. I'll drop it down & see what happens. Thanks.

note: the beer is now cold and has absorbed a bunch of CO2. It will take several beers to be poured to reduce the pressure on the beer (depending on amount of beer remaining) and then a while for the CO2 to reach a new equilibrium. Patience young jedi.

Another thing to remember is to CLEAN the tap! If you notice that you are getting "wild" foamy beer then screw the tap from the door, and take the entire tap/faucet apart and clean it.. Do NOT use bleach, use hot water. You may find black residue and funk in there.
