but caveat imbibor ... these maps have been known to be occasionally out of date (new venues not listed, old venues closed, etc). MARTA is Atlanta's light-rail transport system (and there is bus transport as well), and some venues in downtown Atlanta and nearby are within walking distance (more or less) of some MARTA stations.

Locally-regarded breweries include Sweetwater and Terrapin (from Athens, GA, east of Atlanta). Max Lager's brewpub is downtown. And wherever you go, mind your surroundings, especially at night; parts of Atlanta can be decidedly dodgy.
