Beer names make a difference to sales . They need to be attractive though , so a name like "Autumn Gold" is OK. The words "bitter" or "mild" in a name seem to cut back sales , particularly "mild"........the milds that generally sell well have names such as "Black Dog" , "Black Cat" , "Rutland Panther" and "Original" (Banks)
I think both of you are right.
Certainly after a couple of pints, my greatest appetite is to drink several more pints rather than partake of food at that point.
But then later on, after lots of pints, I usually then develop an earnest hunger (except when I'm really tired)
True, it's very difficult to carry on drinking beer after eating a big meal. Although I find my appetite for spirits and liqueurs increases.
