GBG 2007 picture

Why does CAMRA seem to struggle with Belgian beer when it has Tim Webb and GBG Belgium as a reference source?

The picture (or similar) on page 12 has already been the subject of debate when published elsewhere. It shows chef Phil Vickery pouring a bottle of InBev Belle Vue Framboise alcopop to go with his chocolate brownies. No doubt a pint of Worthington Creamflow or a bottle of Bud (not in glass) went with main course?

From this, I take it you've received your copy already?

My branch hadn't received it's copies by Tuesday evening (the last time I checked).

The official Yorkshire launch of the guide, for anyone who would like to come along, will be at the West Riding Licensed Refreshment Rooms on Dewsbury railway station on Wednesday 12th September, from about

1230hrs onwards.

When was the last edition of this and is it still available? Last time I looked, it wasn't. And the one for France? I'm off to both next week.

Merci bien, Laurent. I'm now the overjoyed owner of a copy of the GBG Belgium, much expanded and improved over my 1992 edition! [Now I'm off to the Ardennes to celebrate...] Highly recommended to all, especially via the address given above, where the author himself will send a signed copy without delay, and take a fairer cut of the price than via the usual outlets.

But most of you knew that already, didn't you?
