Hi Arthur,

It is very difficult to find british ales in Grenoble, but if you're not afraid to taste Belgian or German beers, here are some good addresses near the city center :

Palais de la bière : 4 place Victor Hugo – a bit expensive but a good range of Belgian and German beers, in the very center of the city

D'enfer Pub : 25, Rue Denfert Rochereau – Extensive range of bottles, often with british ones like Traquair House ale or Belhaven St Andrews, 5 or 6 draught beers, a lot of single malts whiskies too.Near the station.

Le Cervoisier : 25 rue Thiers – Mainly Belgian beers Family's Pub : 3 rue Saint Joseph

Don't forget to ask for "La carte des bières" (Beer List)

Doesn't matter - if we just wanted familiar British beer we wouldn't be going to France - we aren't /all/ fizzy-lager swilling louts frightened of anything different... :-)

Near the station is good, as that's where we are staying.

Quel blague !! Le "palais de la bière" comme se nomme ce café à frime, ne possède rien à la pression. A part 2 ou 3 bières communes.

moi j'aimais bien celui-là, l'ambiance, la deco chaleureuse et la carte sont sympa, le gars est un vrai passionné, et il cache quelques vieux fromages (qu'il ne sort pas souvent il faut reconnaitre) ideaux pour accompagner ses amères breuvages
