Homebrewing club - Surrey/Hants UK

A new brewing club is starting up in Winchester. The first meeting is on 6 February from 8pm to 10pm.

The provisional agenda is:

8 to 8:30 - Brewing an IPA 8:30 to 9 - Managing phenols in your beer 9 to 10 - Tasting of home brewed beers

We will hold the meeting near to Winchester station, for easy access. However it will help us if we have an idea how many people are coming.

If you are interested or have any questions, please contact one of the organisers:

Ant Hayes (antony dot hayes at lcp dot uk dot com) Phil Robins (phil at philrobins dot org dot uk) Andy Whitworth (andywhit at gmail dot com) John Broadway (john dot broadway at tiscali dot co dot uk)

The club is open to all brewers, or those planning to take up brewing.

Completely off topic, and please pardon the thread hijacking, but the first night I ever spent in the UK was at the Wyckham Arms, and the first British beer I ever tasted was Tanglefoot - and I fell in love with the country, town, style, and beer all at once.

I'm going to buy supplies tomorrow and had no idea what I was going to buy and brew. Thanks for making up my mind. Out comes my copy of 'Brew your own real ale at home', and I'm brewing British ale!
