The top half centre spread is entitled "Beer Festival" on offer are

Not a decent bottled beer in sight No offers on RAIB at all mentioned.
What kind of beer festival is that?
Yeah - we had a sacrifical burning of thr leaflet.

It isn't one of course. But Asda has a decent selection of bottled beers - the larger stores having some hard to buy elsewhere bottled beers - at very, very reasonable prices. I bought a 33cl bottle of Hoegaarden Grand Cru for £1.59 from a localish Asda store which I don't usually visit. Real ales were in abundance too - a few bottles of The Hampshire Brewery's less well known concoctions were a very welcome surprise indeed.
A friend of mine took a bottle of bottle conditioned ale back to an Asda store having drunk it with the complaint that it didn't "taste right". He was given a no questions asked replacement or the option of his money back. It should have raised suspicions, surely, that he asked for a replacement rather than his money back!

I cleaned my local out of RCH Double Header at a reduced price (BBE date coming up), though I left one that had only 2/3 left, and a sticky label.
ASDA do 3 for £4, as do Sainsburys, but AFAIK only Morrisons still does 4 for a £5 and a good range in my nearest (it's not quite local).

Tesco are also in the 3 for £4 game - on very limited offers. The Thresher group also still do (or at least did until recently) 4 for £5. Not that the range at my local Wine Rack is exactly exciting!
If you are prepared to buy by the case, consider Majestic. Young's Special London Ale (BCA - 6.4) at £1.25 a bottle (by the case of 12) for example. Also Shepherd Neame Bishop's Tipple (5.4) at £1.12.

There used to be a branch in Huddersfield, on the road out to Barnsley/ Sheffield, just before a Y junction and another large supermarket (?Sainsburys?).

OK I bit. Two outlets in Yorkshire: Settle and Ilkley. Nothing in Huddersfield.
