Old Peculiar in London???

This is my wife's favorite British beer. I told her I would try to find a London pub that served it. A few years ago this was not a problem but since the Theakston family repurchased the brewery I don't seem to see it listed in the beer lists of any London GBG pubs.

Does anyone know if it available anywhere in London?

We will be there during the GBBF so if there isn't a pub that has it will it be served at the festival?

You could try the Prince of Wales in Wimbledon, almost opposite the station. I would expect it to be at the GBBF, it was last year, and as a restore independent both they and CAMRA would want that.

Bruce, being from New Joisey, a short 2 hour drive should not be a problem for you. Just rent a car and drive North to Masham, see the brewery, have an OP, and be back in London all in less than a day. Better, stay in Yorkshire and try a Ram Tam too, in Keighley.

2 hours from London to Masham is a bit optimistic even if you left at 3am!

It was on the staff bar a couple of years ago so there's every chance it might!

I can't give you a specific pub, not being London based, but it's quite widely available. The Lamb and Flag in Oxford sells it (60 miles from London :-) )

I have had a pint of Old Peculiar several times over several visits to The Woodstock in London. It's Located on Woodstock Street just off Oxford street very near the Bond Street Station. They have great pies as well. I plan to pay them a visit when I come to London for the GBBF as well. My trip will be just a bit longer as I am coming from Texas.

You could try the Museum in Great Russell St., or another T&J Bernard Pub.
