Helping same friend for this area of London recommendations. I told him about the Ain't Nothin But Blues from the 2003 GBG (why was it deleted in 2004?). The best W1 pub I could find in the 2004 GBG was the Carpenters Arms, but that is probably more than a mile walk from his hotel. Any help on this area would be greatly appreciated.

There is a Wetherspoons just inside Pall Mall, probably called the "Pall Mall"! Its not a perfect pub but usable. Beggars cant be choosers in tourist london.
