foam problem becks keg bought in UK - help required

Hi,

I've got a small keg (5 litres I think) of becks. It has a built in tap that pulls out from the side of the keg.

The keg was left to stand for a couple of days, but I still get loads of foam into the glass, no matter how slowly I tap it, and running it down the side of the glass makes no noticable difference.

I thought it might just be the 1st couple of glassfuls, but it seems not.

any advice?

Rob

cool it right down before trying again?

once you pour some beer off, the pressure in the keg will be lower, so the foaming should diminish.

or is there a valve on top to release some more of the gas without wasting more beer in foam? (but watch out for flying beer! - cover the top valve with a wet cloth or summat) good luck, sorry that none of this will make the Becks taste any more exciting ;~) MikeMcG
