Does Molson import any Brador down here to Seattle?

Molson doesn't import anything down here (here? All of USENET is in Seattle? Who knew?). Molson exports beer from Canada; a company owned by Coors - now Molson Coors - imports it. The Seattle distributor for Molson Coors products is Alaska Distributors, who don't bother with silly things like web sites. And if you've never seen Brador on the shelves in Seattle area stores among the Molson beer selections, you can guess why: it isn't sold "down here."

But it's not such a long drive up to Canuckistan from Seattle, now, is it? Bring back a couple of cases and share.

Do they let you bring beer over the border?

Yes, but try to keep it under control. A case of 12, they're not gonna bitch too much; you're supposed to pay some sort of import or excise tax, but the cost of collecting the tax exceeds the amount the feds will actually get (ditto for state taxes). Bring back so much that your rear axle is sagging, they're gonna get on your case about it.

But why Brador? It's a bit better than crappy malt likker, granted, but I'd rather bring back other stuff if I was going to Canada to score some good beers. Canned Granville Island beers rock, just to name an example.

I remember living in Rochester NY 15 years ago that Molson was readily available. I mean all flavors, I liked Bradors then. But since moving to Seattle, I rarely see any Molson in the stores except for Molson Ice.
