Why do you poll others to know what might be MY favourite beer? JPP

Beer sales mostly follow current advertising or best commercials. Perhaps, whats your favorite commercial?

Still Samichlaus (esp. 1996 of which I'm down to a mere 3 bottles remaining in my stash) and Thomas Hardy.

Three questions: Where do you live, when will you be out of the house, and do you have an alarm system? ;-)

The new Samiclaus is extremely good, but the old was sublime. Sadly, I'm not a beer hoarder, so drank all my older Sami yeasr ago.

Three answers: I'll tell you in private, there's always someone home and yes. Plus, even if you got in you'd have a hell of a time finding it -- I have to hide it from myself. You'd leave with a lot of good beer but I don't think you'd uncover the Sami and a few other treasures.

i still have 2 Sami but not from 1996. only 2 years ago. goes down like fine cognac...hmm...

2 Innis & Gunn which can be drunk anytime. i think of it as whisky creme brulee...hmm...creme.... 23 Westleteren #12 from 1 1/2 years ago. still waiting until they reach the 3 year mark!

the rest is in the fridge and in the rack for everyday drinking :)

cheers

Yes, still good. But the "old" Samichlaus was brewed in Zurich by Hurlimann. The new is brewed at the Castle Eggenburg Brewery in Austria. So the 1996 and earlier version (Hurlimann) is a bit different than the post-2000 version (Eggenburg), aging aside.
