~Why the change in Guinness?

My son in law took pride in having been schooled by a Guinness rep in the proper way to pour one. Set the upside down glass on the top of the bottle. Invert it and slowly pull the bottle straight up out of the glass. Recently he noticed on the bottle of Guinness that it should be drunk straight from the bottle, a glass should not be used. Why the change?

The widget that is responsible for dispensing the nitrogen and creating a little head in the bottle does not produce enough to make a Guinness head when it goes into the glass, thus it needs to release as one takes a drink.... IF you buy it in the can that one does create a better head.. IMO it is always best from a straight draft pour, then can, and finally the bottle.
