australian summer and some poor beers in the shed..........

I brewed some coopers dark nut ale which turned out great. i had left it
around 3 months and couldn't be happier :-)
I was then in the process of selling and moving house so my beer stash was
kept in the shed for several weeks of extreme hot weather.
now when i try these beers it's like a f#!kin volcano erupted :-(
what the hell happened?
i have left store purchased beer in the shed before during hot weather and
no worries.
wont happen again i can assure you even if my girlfriend doesn't like beer
stored in the walk in robe...hahahah
any ideas on what happended......just curious.....i need to put this behind
me but need to know.........

I'm no expert, and was waiting for someone with the know-how to say something. My best guess is that the heat got your yeast a little more active than it would have been otherwise. Commercial beer usually doesn't have any live yeast in it (at least here in the 'States) so storing commercial stuff in a hot place might not do that. A little less priming sugar might help too. Yeast can't ferment sugar that isn't there.
