1,250 seems like a very short list of breweries in the world.
Didnt know the site but the dutch beersection gives a lot of info

Indeed. I'd guess there are at least 1000 in the US alone.

Ratebeer lists something like 4000 different brewers, IIRC.
Looking at the list, it seems there are only two breweries in Finland. While there are actually three major breweries, somehow only the smallest of these three got listed, along with one company that mainly imports beer and cider, but also makes some beers of their own.

Ah, but perhaps it only lists breweries that brew decent beer - which would limit the US entries to about 3 (just joking!!!) 8^)
