OI -Aussie Mates ! ! how's me batch a 'ome brewed beer goin' ???

It's at the stage now after a week where (this is the second bottle I've cracked) it's bubblinmg, when I bottled it id was creamy frothy stuff, after a week, poured in a glass it's got loads of C02 (bubble) but no froth now. Is that normal ? the bubbles soon dissipate once they hit the top.

I sampled a bottle abouut three days ago and the alcohol content was like drinking a vodka like spirit - quick rush. Not at all like a beer or malt whiskey.

But it had more head a few days ago. It's like an effervescent malt alcoholic drink. Like a glass of Coca-Cola. Is all going well with me bottled batch a beer. Will it get better with time and become the beaustiful Cooper's Bitter I hoped I would get. AFA alcohol content is concerned it's doing fine but just no froth any more.

But aren't ya s'posed to wait for 2 weeks before ya drink it? Depends how thirsty ya is .

Serious now. (IMHO) If you leave the wort in fermenter too long after it has finished fermenting & before you bottle it I've found the "head retention" not very good.

If individual bottles are different, then it could be your sterlising / bottle washing / etc procedures.
