Dragon Eye Oolong - you know, from PF Changs. Anyone know a good loose substitute?

I think he was actually asking about the tea itself, not the infuser/bags. PF Chang's Dragon Eye Oolong tea. I have to admit I have never tried it, PF Changs is far away from my house and fairly pricey so I go with smaller local places, but a web search turned this up:

It appears to be readily available online for varying prices, that link above is like $12 at Amazon... but if you do a google search for "Dragon eye oolong" you will find many hits. It is made by T-Pot Revolution, and comes in nylon mesh bags.

The description from another site: This smooth, well-rounded elixir blends smoky Chinese oolong with safflower, peach and apricot.

Sounds like it would be pretty good, and unlike anything you could get elsewhere due to the flavors. I'll have to give it a try.

If you are looking for the China black scented with logan fruit, I would suggest In Pursuit of Tea's Dragon Eyes. I don't normally go for scented or flavored tea (I bought it for my boyfriend), but I do like this one iced.

But speaking of infusers, I really like my People's Brew Basket. They are cheap at ~$3 and long lasting and cleanable. It fits in most mugs and smaller teapots, and I made an adapter ring to allow it to work in bigger pots.
