I say Kurosawa's The Bad Sleep Well from 1960 last weekend on TCM. There is a scene where a lady makes tea in a kyusu and pours into a cup for a visitor. As I noted before there have to be right and left handed kyusus. This movie is about corporate corruption between private and public enterprises. The whistle blower is killed in the end hence the title. I recently saw his 1952 Ikiru also on TCM where a dying public servant tries to make good. I thought the drunken funeral wake a classic. Nothing changes and if it does somebody takes credit who doesnt deserve it.
