Lung Ching/Long Jing

Jan 08, 2005 2 Replies

Last night, I finally tried my sample of ZG71 from Upton and immediately noticed how much fresher and more flavorful it is compared to what I was getting from a local store.

What struck me the most was how strongly the after-aftertaste reminded me of vanilla creme sandwich cookies. Am I the only one?

Does your Lung Ching do that to you? If not that, what?

So obviously you like it, Bluesea, but the 10 reviewers on the Upton site really raved about it. Did you like it as much as they did? I'm thinking about trying some ...

Thanks.

Go for it. The stuff is GOOD. I had 1 cup (for the sampling) + 2 pots (= 44 oz all together) last night - unheard of for me with green tea at night; I usually do only one, maybe two 8 or 9 oz mugs then often switch to something else to close out my day.

My sample was 1 tsp. in 8 oz. at 175F for 2-1/2 min. and then I adjusted the tea and the water for the pot.

It's already on my next order list :D.
