Posole and Chinatown

Dec 23, 2005 0 Replies

It's close to Christmas and I had a traditional year end bowl of posole in a hispanic restaurant that borders Chinatown. I picked up some Yunnan black(red) tea in a CNNP export carton of 5 x 50g for $3.50. It has the Ji Xing logo which is on one of my tuochas. The taste is not as strong and sharp as my other more expensive Dian Hongs but a good bargain. This posole had strips of pork and not pork skin or intestinal lining like menudo but it was a lively eating experience and couldn't wait to get home for a pot of the pu. I like hominy and grits.
