The following message was taken from the Albion's facebook page:
"We are sorry to inform everyone that owing to a dispute with the landlords who now want to charge £200 per day rent, The Albion Warrington will be closed until further notice. We will keep everyone informed via fb. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and we hope to have things resolved soon.
Thank you all."
Doesn't sound good at all, sad, sad, sad ........

Good news....(you don't hear that too often)
I've heard today that The Albion, Warrington, will be open for business again this coming weekend. The same team of Mark, Kevin and Gill closed the doors back in August due to a large rise in rent, however it seems the owners have at last seen sense in their demands.
Mark and his team have turned this place into a great community pub selling a top range of real ale....it deserves your support.
Lets hope they hold the traditional Christmas beer festival.

News from the Albion........good and not so good -
"Hi everyone, Just a quick word to let everyone know what's going on as there have been many different tales going round.
The official story is that The Albion Warrington will be reopening in time for Christmas; Beers are settling in the cellar and other necessary things are being done to make it the same welcoming and friendly place we've always tried to be. If it wasn't for the support and aid of many of our loyal regulars the pub would have been another casualty of the recession and may have sat empty for years to come.
There has not been an official opening day set (although we were hoping for it to be today) as we have had a setback. If anyone hears of anyone who has broken into a pub recently and destroyed all the cellar equipment needs to get in touch with the police as soon as possible to catch the buggers who did the damage pictured below.
Owing to the damage done to both the cellar and the electricity meter, we are hoping to welcome everyone from next Wednesday. When everything is confirmed it will be posted here on facebook and we thank everyone for their continued support.
Seriously, if you hear about a pub being broken into last week, contact the police on 101. We apologies for the sporadic updates but you will all know something the moment we do".

Thanks for this update, which I saw in good time, but wasn’t able to replay straight away with being away from home—I might be able to drop in over the Christmas period.
