Re: Pu-Erh? (flavored pu-erhs)

Whoops, posted that before realizing it's a no-no... I won't be doing that again, so as not to incur the wrath of the 'tea police' :-) I shall direct all future announcements, plugs etc to rec.food.marketplace, and stick to tea-related non-commercial postings in this group.

Thanks and sorry Judith Miranda

Judith,

With all due respect from a pu-erh fanboy, why would someone who discovered a real dislike for pu-erh want to attempt to make it palatable by adding something to it? Why not just pick a tea you like, and if you feel you must mess it up with flavorants -- flames welcome, but always to the list, please

-- just add them to your favorite? After all, there are thousands of teas to chose from. I've even heard that some people *like* Assams. There is no accounting for taste.

Right, and let me add another reason not to resort to masking the flavor of Puerh: there is no one flavor of Puerh to like or dislike. There's an extremely wide range of Puerh flavors, probably as wide a range as the range of tastes e.g. among black teas.
