Steaming the Tea?

After heating the pot with hot water and emptying it,

someone suggested placing the tea in the empty pot,

and then letting it sit, to bring out the flavors of the tea,

before adding the hot water.

Has anyone tried this?

I've tried this several times, and it seems to increase the aroma of the tea.

Warm up the pot with hot water. Empty the pot. Put the tea in,

and then add a little water, and close the lid. Let it sit for a minute.

Then add the rest of the hot water.

Standard step in GongFu tea. After the first step - presentation of the tea in chahe and exhale and inhale into it several times.
