Sweet pu-erhs, which are they?

What types of pu-er are sweet, does green/black/dry/wet/age matter, which ones can be found consistently sweet on every purchase, and where to get some ? Thanks!

I am not sure where you can buy them, but you should look with pu'er that has been labeled 'zao xiang' or 'mi xiang' type of pu'er. You can ask the usual vendors if they stock such teas. Do a search around this forum.

Generally speaking the type of Puerh tea associated with having a sweet taste is Black Puerh. Much of this can be attributed to the unique fermentation process it undergoes during production. If you are interested in learning more I uploaded an article a while back that can be found at

Black Puerh is readily available from many online vendors.

Is Mi Xiang the same as Nuo Mi Xiang?

Can you help me with Zao Xiang? I assume Xiang means Fragrant, but Zao?
