Nils,

Yup. I'm sure Ripon will make good use of our collectively supplied data, and look forward to his book. Nonetheless I prefer the anthropological (sit down and drink tea with the natives) approach to the sociological (reduce it to statistical data and draw [unwarranted] conclusions therefrom).

Hehe, so your message is "Drink more tea !", I take it.

(Black Tea) / (Green Tea) = 1 is my current ratio.

Black tea-5% Oolong tea-30% Green tea-25% White tea-5% Pu-erh-35%

I'd guess for me it's something like Black tea - 45% Oolong tea - 25% Green tea - 10% White tea - 5% Pu-erh - 15%

Speak for yourself! For what its worth :

Cheap mediocre tea = 98% Expensive but now out of date and hence mediocre tea = 2%

Greetings drink.tea readers!

For myself, it's usually :

company : Republic of Tea or World Market store-brand (the latter has loose-leaf, 4 oz. for $4! Such a good deal.)

Types :

"limited edition" (seasonal : rose-petal, holiday blend, etc) : 40% green : 18% white : 18% herbal : 24%

Take care! * Geoff

green 80% white 20%

i don't drink any other tea...

oh, i often drink jasmine green tea, which is still green, but infused with jasmine leaves... it's heavenly!!!
