What are oxidants? Green tea

I have been hearing about drinking green tea and how it has anti-oxidants. What are oxidants? How do I know if I have them? What does green tea do to them? Why do I want to get rid of them if I have them? Phyloe

How much to drink? I don't know. It's been debated here but I don't recall a resolution.

As for your Arizona Green Tea - no, it's not good to drink. But that's just because I personally find it distasteful.

If you're going for the benefits of green tea, I would suggest going "native" so to speak. Try making green tea at home fresh. Some types are quite nice refrigerated. Granted, it doesn't "keep" well, and steel lined thermoses tend to spoil the flavor.

But tea in general is appearing to be quite healthful. I came across a research article recently connecting the consumption of black tea with decreased risks of rectal cancer.
