yixing cups

Aug 28, 2003 2 Replies

hi all

was wondering if anyone knows where i can get good quality yixing teacups with white inner glaze, size around 1 or 2 ounces

most important is that the cups are thin, i like the feel of clay on the outside of a very light cup. plus the tea cools faster, which i like for gongfu

thanks,

-ben

Shanshui Teas has exactly what you are asking for. It is their Zhuni gaiwan and teacups. I purchased these items from Shanshui a year or so ago and have very much enjoyed using them. They are very attractive. The white interior shows off the color of the brewed tea. Plus, as you say, the feel of the clay is very nice. To ice the cake, the price was affordable, too.

See items 1146 and 1166.

I have no affiliation with Shanshui other than as a happy teaware customer. Their teas sound very nice but the prices are dear.

Hi,

I just want to say that the prices from shanshuiteas.com are really too high. In fact, I've bought their gaywan No. 1162 in Montreal (in chinatown, at "Jiu Fu Inc.") for 9,50 CAD, so about 6.85 USD... So you can get at Jiu Fu 4,37 gaiwans for the price of one at shanshui (!!).
