aka 'cooking whisky' by some. I just picked up 1.75 L. for $11.99 (what's that, 6 pounds, 60, at Sav-On Drug? Especially for the price, it's . . . well, adequate (the only Scotch I mix . . . with soda water).

I don't care what it tastes like, or what you have to add to it to make it palatable, but $11.99 seems like a hell of a good deal. The people in the supply chain (bottler/shipper/distributor) must be workin' on wee margins for the retailer to still make a profit at that price.

Graeme, it actually is palatable neat. At the price, however, a tall one on ice with soda water is quite refreshing on a hot afternoon . . . and we've had plenty of them lately!
