First Scotch recommendation

Worth while remembering that British brewers seem to get more flavour for the ABV than out Continental and American friends. I can remember my first Duvel , a lovely ale all right but to find it was 8.5% ABV astonished me ; from the flavour depth I'd have placed it at around 5.5%

So have I. I'd add one more to the list - that of Oakwell Barnsley Bitter at 3.8%. Plenty of taste there for me, without a lot of alcohol.
