As long time member I find this news most unsettling. Direct ownership by any distillery or malt concern, even if operated at "arm's length" is certainly not a recipe for true independence. I am opposed.
A spokesperson insisted there will be no change in the running of the society, which will be "operated at arms length". =========================================== Of course we can trust the company to put honor above profits.. NOT !!
