Good WHisky?

You are slightly confused about The Dark Isle. Just south of Dalmore lies The BLACK Isle. Which is not an Island at all. A great place to watch North Sea Dolphins, The Black Isle has beautiful villages such as Cromarty where I stayed a few months ago in a nice bed and breakfast. They also boast a micro brewery called The Black Isle Brewery which I also visited and tasted alll of there beers. On the way from The Black Isle to Dalmore you can visit the most wonderful pottery in Scotland IMO. Its called Anta and has hand crafted very organic and hand painted crockery. The Dark Isle is in actual fact, Benbecula which is a Hebridean Island on Scotlands west coast. I am thinking you maybe meant Black Isle. Allthough I have never heard of Dalmore Dark Isle or Black Isle. The distillery of Dalmore is just outside the Black Isle and maybe its sometimes referrred to as such.

Hmmm. I just looked the price list up on whiskyworld.nl, and Dalmore Black Isle is available.

7923 1,000 40,0 DIST HIGHL DALMORE 12 Y BLACK ISLE LTR 40% 12 33,89

Not a bad price for a liter I think.

Peace,

Jock

(snipped....)

Ah but you're right in the distinction between Black and Dark Isle.

All this just goes to show how much I'm missing Scotland. Our 9th trip was "way back' in 2004. Time to go again, methinks.
