Laphroaig 10 vs Cask Strength 10

I have finally succumbed to the temptation to open my cask strength Laphroig, and it is stunning! I'm having trouble believing that the stuff in the 43 ABV is the same as what's in the cask strength bottle. How could a little water remove so much character? I wonder if it *is* the same. Do any of you know?

No it's probably not exactly the same, but close enough in my experience. Try it yourself, dilute the CS down to 43% ABV and compare it to the 10. I've done it and found that they were very similar indeed.
