I am on my second bottle of Compass Box's Eluthera vatted malt whisky. The aroma is much like Caol Ila but the flavor is more balanced and less salty/seaweedy. Nice whisky in my very humble opinion.

They are not unreasonably priced for blends, and better than any other blend I've tasted. Were there not too many hideously expensive singles still to buy, I'd be pleased to have them to hand.

The only Compass Box whisky I've tried was the Asyla, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. A nice summertime blended, with citric-orangey highlights. I'm skeptical of Eleuthera, because my personal experience with Clynelish is that is doesn't play well with other whiskies - sometimes a malt you like and know is good won't taste so good after a Clynelish - but I'm curious to try it sometime. First I want to get a bottle (or two) of Hedonism since there are so few grain whiskies available, and that one seems to be dwindling on the local shelves.
